PADDY POWER TO SIGN FIVE YEAR DEAL WITH SIS

13 February 2002 - Ireland's largest bookmaker, Paddy Leisure Plc trading as Paddy Power, today signed a letter of intent with Satellite Information Services (SIS) to take the new integrated service beyond April 2002 until April 2007.

Paddy Power has 127 shops. The SIS service is £5000 per shop a year, excluding V.A.T., for the first two years of the contract. The cost will be subject to RPI changes in years three to five. The service will be transmitted Mondays to Saturdays throughout the year, plus Sundays for the UK summer season and evenings for the UK summer evening season.

SIS Chief Executive David Holdgate expressed his pleasure at the signing, "It is good that such a dynamic, forward-looking company has come on board. Paddy Power is highly customer focused and has seen the advantages to its customers of signing up to the new SIS service. Its executives are shrewd men of business that know a good deal when they see one. We now have over 8,200 shops contracted to SIS and I am confident that most of the remainder will see the benefit soon and join us."

Paddy Leisure Plc Chief Executive Stewart Kenny agreed, "We've made a long-term commitment to SIS because they've got the product our customers want at a price that we think is fair. With this new service I expect to see Paddy Power continue to grow both in Ireland and elsewhere."
