College Wins 'Best of Business' Award, 23/04/04
 Merton College has won the Best of Business Award for Corporate
Social Responsibility.
At
the ceremony, held on 22 April in Croydon, the College was announced as
winner of this prestigious award, open to companies from
across the region.
The award recognises the work of the College
in providing educational opportunities to people of all
ages (from 14 upwards) across a wide area of London and Surrey.
After
being presented with the award, College Principal Sally
McEnhill said: " I
am delighted that Merton College, a public sector organisation, has won recognition
in this prestigious business event, and that we have been recognised for
the contribution the college makes to the community. I hope
this will be an example
for other colleges in the region. Our college's mission is to make a difference
to the communities we serve, and it is great to have that recognised through
this award. Our thanks go to our staff, students and to the people of Merton,
for their support".
