Advice on Education Maintenance

Merton College is running advice sessions of the new ‘Education Maintenance Allowance’
(EMA) as part of its Open Evening on Thursday April 29.
The EMA is a new benefit for 16 to 18 year olds in education
and the Merton College advice session will cover subjects
such as who is eligible, how much you can get and how the
benefit is paid
Sessions run from 5pm to 7pm at the College’s Morden Park
site on London Road. Parents as well as potential students
are welcome.
The advice sessions are running alongside the College’s
Open Evening, where students of any age can find out all
about full-time or part-time courses starting in September.
Both the Morden Park site and the College’s Sixth Form Centre
in Central Road are open on the evening.
