Archive news 24 June 2003 Work starts on Diana, Princess of Wales Memorial Fountain Work has started on the Diana, Princess of Wales Memorial Fountain. Contractors have moved on site at Hyde Park to begin groundworks, and the first stone blocks have been quarried in Cornwall and are currently being cut in County Down, Northern Ireland. The cutting and development of the 40 stone sections is using innovative new British technology, never used before. Ends |
