A PNEU OPENING FOR CONFIGURE
New system half the cost of traditional motorised door openers

Configure’s innovative air-powered door opening system, Pneumadoor is being awarded a Certifier mark on 21 April – after being the first of its kind to sail through British Standard fire regulations. The recently launched patented pneumatic system surpasses its standard electrically powered rivals in terms of ease of installation, cost, servicing and functionality.

Pneumadoor can be retro fitted within the footprint of a standard sprung manual closer at half the cost of traditional motorised door systems. It is activated by a touch pad or sensor and uses compressed air to overcome the closing spring to power open the door. Just a quarter of the size of its rivals, the tiny pneumatic box fits discretely on to a wall, eliminating the need for a standard, bulky motor.

Tested to over a million cycles, the system can power numerous doors and will integrate into existing alarm configurations. It is already being used by Tesco, KFC and Travelodge.

Configure will be exhibiting its range of door openers, lifts and alarms at Interbuild for the first time. Visitors can try out these products for themselves at stand 09-A39 at Interbuild 2006 at Birmingham NEC between 23 and 27 April.
