CONFIGURE’S STAND FOR ACCESS EQUALITY

Configure, the leading building access provider in the UK and Ireland, will be launching its range of lifts, door openers and alarms at Interbuild for the first time. Visitors can try out these products for themselves at stand 09-A39 at Interbuild 2006 at Birmingham NEC between 23 and 27 April.

Configure will be promoting its range of over 200 products and services, which include vertical and incline lifts, pneumatic power-assisted door openers and digital wireless emergency call alarms. It also offers auxiliary aids such as portable ramps and induction loops, and building adjustment components including handrails, fire alert pagers, and Braille tactile signage.

Consultancy services include access audits and accessibility statements, as well as expert advice to guide organisations through cost-effectively meeting their obligations under the Disability Discrimination Act. A stepped programme of disability equality training completes the range, offering low-cost training to large numbers of front-line staff.

David Driver, Configure’s Legal Director, said: “We are delighted to be taking part in Interbuild 2006, the main specifier exhibition in the construction industry. This exhibition gives us the chance to promote our products and services which genuinely assist both the general public, in terms of improved access, as well as businesses themselves, striving to meet their obligations under the Act.”
