WIRELESS ALARMS FOR WCS

Configure, the UK’s largest commercial disability consultancy, has launched a unique range of battery operated digital wireless WC alarms, to enable businesses and organisations to meet their obligations under the Disability Discrimination Act.

The alarms are simple to install, being based on the latest digital wireless technology as there is no wiring between the units. Maintenance is minimal with a battery life of 5 years for the key components, and an inbuilt low battery warning system to alert the user when a battery change is necessary.

The kit includes a pull cord, a reset button with tactile sign and a flashing light and siren module. All the components are IP65 rated and covered with a hygienic wipe over front membrane plate. In locations where the WC alarm might not be heard, the system can be further enhanced with a central monitor that can be located on a reception desk as well as the addition of a pager; ensuring staff are alerted as soon as the alarm cord is pulled.

Configure (www.configure.co.uk) is the only company in the UK that represents a single source for the complete range of products and services required by organisations to meet their obligations under the Act. It offers a comprehensive range of cost effective and easy to implement services that include access audits, auxiliary aids, building adjustments and staff disability equality training.
